Liverpool chiefs would love to bring Tottenham star Heung-min Son and Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford to Anfield.
The Independent says Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team are big admirers of both the England and South Korea internationals, but they understand that neither would be made available considering they are highly rated and play for a direct rival.
Liverpool chose not to make any big-money signings in January having remained unbeaten in more than a year of league football, with the same plan penciled in for the summer.
Liverpool have also been linked with a major move to bring Kylian Mbappe to Anfield in recent months, something that Klopp hastily denied.
He said: "OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him. What a player he is.
“But it is about the money of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story."
