Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson says they're going for the clean sweep this season.

Jurgen Klopp's men are three points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City at Christmas and progressed to the last-16 of the Champions League with ease.

“Every competition we're in, we want to take seriously and we want to go on to try and win," the England midfielder told talkSPORT, in an exclusive interview ahead of the midweek cup clash with Leicester.

“Every time we're on the pitch, we want to try and win and try to get the points. I never look too far ahead, to be honest, and say, 'At the end of the season, we want this'.

“In football, things change so quickly and you need a little bit of luck along the way, especially with the times we're living in right now.

“A lot can happen, all we're focussed on is the next game and the next challenge. If we do that, and do it well, we should be in a good position come the end of the season."
