Liverpool star Jordan Henderson opened up about filling in at centre-half against Monterrey in the Club World Cup semi final.
The Reds had to make an adjustment after Virgil Van Dijk was not fit enough to start the game.
And captain Henderson is the one who stepped up and played in defence, despite being a midfielder.
The Reds secured progression to the final with a late goal from Roberto Firmino that got them a 2-1 win.
"It was a bit different!" Henderson told BBC Sport post-match.
"But I just tried to do my best in that position, I had great people around me – Robbo and Joe were talking to me all the time.
"The most important thing was the win [and] we defended pretty well for the majority of the game.
"We would have liked to have scored another couple of goals, but overall I think we've got to be delighted with the way things went in the end."
