Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has revealed the valuable career advice he received from Manchester United legend Roy Keane.

Henderson admits he could hear Keane's advice when beating Lionel Messi's Barcelona in their Champions League semifinal.

But despite his admiration for the Barca talisman, Henderson refused to ask for his shirt.

And his reasoning comes from when he played under Manchester United legend Keane as he came through at Sunderland.

"Did I think about asking for his shirt? No. I've never done it," Henderson told the Daily Mail.

"Roy Keane told me when I was at Sunderland that if you ask for someone's shirt, it looks like you are in awe of them."
