Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson insists the future of the England team is in safe hands.
The veteran spoke about his disappointment at losing in the quarter finals to France on Saturday.
England were bundled out of the tournament, with an Olivier Giroud goal winning it for the French, after Harry Kane missed a late spot kick for England.
The Liverpool captain posted on his Instagram account today: "Tough one to take for us all, we gave everything and it wasn't our night in the end. I couldn't be more proud of every single player over the last few weeks, the focus and desire to win was there every single day, but sometimes football isn't fair.
"We learn, we grow and come back even stronger. What a team to be a part of and the future is certainly bright. Secondly, a big thank you to all the staff who work so hard behind the scenes, giving us their everything. The team behind the team is so important and we are lucky we have the best in the business.
"Lastly, to all the traveling fans and everyone who supported us back home. You don't realise how much your support means to the team and we hope we made you proud to be English. We couldn't go all the way but we gave it everything.
"We will be back."
