Liverpool captain Henderson tells FSG exactly what players think about ESL proposal

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has condemned the European Super League.

The Reds are one of six English clubs to have initially signed up to the project, which has been met by intense criticism from fans, pundits and now players.

England midfielder Henderson, along with teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Milner, took to Twitter to express their discontent over the new proposal.

The statement read: It read: "We don't like it and we don't want it to happen. This is our collective position.

"Our commitment to this football club and its supporters is absolute and unconditional. You'll Never Walk Alone."

But the ESL plan seems to be falling apart as Manchester City confirmed they would begin proceedings to withdraw from the competition.

Chelsea are expected to follow City.
