Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers wants to keep Ashley Cole in England next season.
Cole is coming off contract at Chelsea in the summer and has lucrative offers from abroad on the table.
The Mail on Sunday says Rodgers sees the England veteran as the solution to his left-back problem.
The pair know eachother from Rodgers' time on Chelsea's coaching staff.
