Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers hopes to add at least two signings to his squad in January.
He is confident Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge will arrive, while Blackpool winger Tom Ince is set to return.
And his belief has grown even more thanks to a run of winnable fixtures, with ninth-placed Stoke the highest placed team they face in the next seven Premier League matches.
Rodgers added: "I have an inherent belief in the group and that will continue to grow. If I didn't have that, I would be concerned. I would tell you.
"By the time we move into January our objective is to hang on to the coat-tails and give ourselves a fighting chance."
