Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to upgrade Jordan Henderson's contract.
Henderson's current agreement ends in June 2016 and Rodgers is keen to tie down the England midfielder.
Rodgers said: "He will certainly be one, the way he is working, who we would want to secure his services.
"I'm sure it is in the interests of the club to tie him down."
