Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to sell centre-back Martin Skrtel in the summer, according to recent reports.
Italian source Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Klopp will sell the Slovakian defender in the summer with future arrival Joel Matip set to take his place in the centre of the Reds defence.
The Merseyside outfit have already agreed on a deal to bring Schalke centre-back Matip to Anfield and Klopp expects him to step straight into his starting XI.
Skrtel, who joined Liverpool in 2008, signed a three-year contract extension last season but his recent performances have convinced Klopp that his future lies elsewhere.
The 31-year-old received severe criticism this week for his performance in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Southampton and is expected to be let go at season's end.
