Jurgen Klopp has been explaining how in an ideal world he would not be changing his keeper each week with both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius failing to impress on a consistent basis.
"I don't want to change each week, that was not the plan," said Klopp.
"I know how fantastic Loris is as a goalkeeper. It's not enough if only I know it. Only if something happens and then we have Loris again. It is a good decision for both the way I see it. Sometimes the job is to take someone out of the public view. Only step aside and use the time to get in your best shape.
"Simon had a really good game so he will be in goal for sure. We only made the change because Simon is in brilliant shape."
