Liverpool boss Klopp weighing up move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is weighing up a move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

The Sunday Times says Klopp wants to replace Philippe Coutinho in the summer, and has targeted Napoli playmaker Jorginho to fill the Brazilian's boots.

Jorginho has scored three goals in 27 appearances for Napoli in all competitions this season.

The midfielder's agent last week admitted Napoli could cash in on his client this summer.

Joao Santos said, “I think we'll discuss a renewal at the end of the season, as it's not the moment to talk about that, because he still has a long contract.

“He wants to stay, although we'll have to see if Napoli agree with that. If a player like Torreira arrives from Sampdoria, then that will require an important investment and Jorginho could be sacrificed to make way.

“I think they'd rather sell Jorginho than Amadou Diawara, who is younger."
