Liverpool boss Klopp warns fans: Slump will come

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned fans the inevitable slump will arrive.

Goals by Gini Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino made it five wins from five games as the rampant Reds stayed clear of the chasing pack with a victory over Spurs at Wembley.

But Klopp was quick to stress that his delight at another powerful performance is tempered by the knowledge that his men will suffer at some point during the title race.

“I have been in this business to know that no-one is perfect," said Klopp. “Not even (Manchester) City last season.

“It has been a fantastic start and we are still improving – this was our best performance of the season so far.

“But there will be problems ahead and we must see how we deal with that.

“I am a positive guy and I don't go looking for problems.

"I am happy with my squad. Five wins from five games, fantastic. But now we have to do it again and again.

“If we had given just five percent less here then we would have won the game."
