Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he agrees with Pep Guardiola that players need protecting and the Reds boss is keen for VAR to help on the issue.
"I've always said that the first thing that we all have to do is to save the players.
"If you are late or ruthless in a challenge then you need to be punished for it. Yesterday we had Cardiff, it was a bad challenge for sure," said Klopp.
"If somebody sees the situation and does not challenge it that is really bad for the game because we all need the players.
"I'm 100% the same opinion as Pep that we need to save the players."
