Jurgen Klopp is hopeful Liverpool's FA Cup third-round clash with Wolves is arranged for Monday January 7.

The Reds will face title rivals Manchester City on January 3 and Klopp hopes his team will be given adequate time to recover for their trip to Molineux.

He said: "We play that week on Thursday against City, so I hope we have the Monday night game or whatever, then it's OK.

"If we play on a Sunday after the City game, going to Wolves, who will probably have played three days earlier, that would be really hard, but we have to see.

"It's the FA and television who will decide."
