Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants assurances from the Egyptian FA over how Mohamed Salah will be managed if he is to be released for the Olympics this year.
Ahram Online says Klopp will seek a 'comprehensive file' on Egypt's training programme for the 2020 Olympics before he decides whether or not to allow Salah to link up with his country in Japan.
Egypt under-23 coach Shawky Gharib has again stated his desire for the country's most recognisable player to be one of the three overage members of his nation's squad in the summer, but Salah has not yet committed to a decision.
The Olympics football tournament takes place in six cities around Japan between July 22 and August 8, although concerns have been expressed about the events due to the worldwide spread of coronavirus.
Klopp wants to know more about Egypt's plans for the tournament before committing to decision on Salah.
