Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Schalke have chose right in hiring David Wagner as new coach.

Wagner, sacked by Huddersfield Town during the season, was named S04 manager last month. He and Klopp are close from their time together with Borussia Dortmund.

Klopp told BILD: "I know David as well as hardly anyone else.

"I know how he works and how ambitious he is.

"Although some of my friends on the other side may not like to hear it, I dare Dave will get Schalke back on track and succeed there."
