Liverpool boss Klopp unhappy as four stars miss out on FA Cup winners medals

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is unhappy with the number of FA Cup winners medals being available.

Klopp revealed there was an issue with the number of medals his players received after their win.

The German used a staggering 31 players over the course of the competition. That meant certain stars like Takumi Minamino, Harvey Elliott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the injured Fabinho played a role in earlier rounds but did not make the bench at Wembley.

Klopp has urged the FA ends its restriction on the number of medals issued at the end of competitions.

He said: “Dear FA, please send some more medals. Everybody has his part - we had the discussion, maybe we can order here publicly more medals.

“I cannot believe that the amount of medals is restricted, why would you do that? We realised we want to give medals to all the players and they say then coaches cannot have it - what?

“It's really a bit tough. It's not a good idea - the squads are getting bigger but the numbers stay the same."
