Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has slammed the Nations League.

He has long been a strident critic of staging the Nations League this summer, originally insisting it was senseless.

Klopp said: “Everybody looked at me when I said it was not such a good idea.

"And whoops, two English teams are in the Champions League final.

“We play June 1, then on June 6 there is this Nations League.

"If we don't learn to deal with players better, it's the only chance to kill this wonderful game."
