Liverpool are weighing up a bid for Borussia Mönchengladbach's defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Switzerland international has been watched by several Premier League clubs over the past 18 months, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

BILD says Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a fan and keen to bring him to England.

And with a deal to 2022, Gladbach are prepared to listen to offers for Zakaria.

The Germans are attempting to open new contract talks with Zakaria's camp, though for the moment their positions are at deadlock.
