Liverpool boss Klopp turns to Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Brandt

Liverpool are weighing up a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt.

The Mirror says Brandt is emerging as a Liverpool target after a move for Nabil Fekir broke down.

Jurgen Klopp is searching for alternatives to the French international and the Bayer Leverkusen winger fits the bill.

Brandt was controversially preferred to Manchester City star Leroy Sane by Joachim Loew in his final 23-man squad for Russia 2018.

But Brandt did shine for Die Mannschaft despite their group stage exit and now Calcio Insider believe the Reds could table a €60m (£53m) offer for the German.

It would send Klopp's spending this summer rocketing past £100m after signing Fabinho and Naby Keita.
