Liverpool boss Klopp to offload three (or more) senior players

Liverpool great Graeme Souness feels Jurgen Klopp's squad needs refreshing.

The players in apparent danger of being axed are Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The trio have fallen down the pecking order at Anfield, with Origi and Shaqiri having their performances criticised on more than one occasion this season.

"They've got nothing up front," announced Souness after Klopp picked the duo against West Ham. "I'm sorry, Origi and Shaqiri [aren't good enough].

"[Mohamed] Salah's up there on his own. We're used to Mane taking people on, Firmino sliding clever balls in.

"What you're getting is what I expected from the other two - not a lot."

Oxlade-Chamberlain meanwhile has been blighted with injuries this season and has featured just 12 times in all competitions.

According to the Independent, more players are expected to leave in the clear-out but Origi, Shaqiri and Oxlade-Chamberlain are likely to be the biggest names.
