Liverpool boss Klopp seriously considering Aston Villa midfielder McGinn

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is seriously considering a move for Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.

The Athletic reports that Klopp was particularly impressed by McGinn when Villa ran out 7-2 winners against Liverpool in the Premier League last October.

Klopp reportedly asked Andy Robertson, McGinn's Scotland team-mate, if he 'ever stops running' after being left impressed by his work-rate.

But Liverpool could have their work cut out trying to lure the 26-year-old away from Villa Park.

McGinn penned a fresh five-year deal with the Midlands outfit back in December, meaning Villa hold nearly all the cards if Liverpool were to put in an offer.

It would take an offer in the region of £45-50million from Liverpool, or any club, for Villa to even consider parting ways with McGinn. Liverpool would have to sell to raise those funds.
