Liverpool boss Klopp scoffs at Guardiola mind games attempt

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has dismissed the mind games of Manchester City rival Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola tried to pile the pressure on Liverpool by saying the league leaders feel the heat but Klopp shrugged off those claims as he refuses to get excited about their six-point advantage.

When asked about Guardiola's pressure talk, Klopp said: “Not on me. I don't feel like a leader, we don't feel as leaders of it. That's a personal thing.

“There is absolutely no difference.

“The difference comes, and when it gets really exciting, when you have five games to go and you are six or seven points up or not or behind, then it is normal that things like this happen but it is much too early.

“If we lose a game people will immediately see it as slipping through our fingers again or whatever and that's just not our situation.

“We were not the hunters and now we are not the hunted or whatever. We are just a football team who want to play the best season of our lives.

“We want to qualify for the Champions League and we create a basis for that."
