Liverpool boss Klopp: Roma deserve credit for improving go-getter Salah

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has paid tribute to Roma's coaching staff for improving Mohamed Salah over the two seasons he was with them.

Liverpool take a 5-2 advantage going into the Champions League semi-final second-leg against Roma on Wednesday, after Salah scored twice and produced two assists at Anfield last week.

Klopp said: "He has matured. He got confidence here. He came from Chelsea to Florence and played a good season.

"Then he grew up at Roma and now we are the lucky guys who have in him in our team. Each striker in the world doesn't start at 18 years old.

"They need to be a go-getter and that's what Salah is. He really is quite cool with it. He has good team-mates, they love helping him and they love how he helps them."
