Liverpool boss Klopp ready to back Jones over buying Lallana replacement

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to back Curtis Jones next season.

The Times says Klopp sees Jones as a natural replacement for departing midfielder Adam Lallana.

The young midfielder has been part of Liverpool's youth ranks ever since 2010 and made his senior debut under the German manager in December.

He has since made nine first-team appearances and was even named the club's youngest-ever captain when the Merseysiders defeated Shrewsbury in an FA Cup replay in February.

Jones also stood out for Liverpool in January's FA Cup clash against Merseyside rivals Everton as he scored a stunning goal that led to a 1-0 victory at Anfield.
