Liverpool boss Klopp promotes Phillips, Adekanye after impressive U23 form

Bobby Adekanye has been added to first team training at Liverpool this week.

The Liverpool Echo says to boost the numbers at Melwood this international week, Jurgen Klopp brought in a host of young players from Liverpool's thriving youth scene.

Adekanye, Nat Phillips and Matty Virtue were all called up to train with their more experienced team-mates as Klopp and his backroom staff got back to work ahead of what is a crucial few weeks.

Dutch youth international Adekanye has turned in a number of eye-catching displays on the right wing so far, and he will be a key figure for the U23s this term.

Phillips remains in the mix, meanwhile, after impressing in preseason.
