Jurgen Klopp hailed Kolo Toure's top quality tackle on Sergio Aguero during Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Manchester City.

Liverpool earned a fine win at Anfield on Wednesday night and although the likes of Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and James Milner scored the goals, veteran defender Toure put in a solid performance at the back as well.

Klopp was left very pleased with Toure's contribution and admitted that the Ivorian's fine tackle to deny Aguero a clear goal scoring opportunity was the 'moment of the day.'

Speaking to BT Sport, Klopp said: "To be honest, the moment of the day was the challenge of Kolo Toure in the 27th spring with Sergio Aguero.

"I can't believe [it]. I thought 'Okay, it's Aguero, we made a mistake so it's a goal, or maybe Simon [Mignolet| has to make a world-class save.'

"But then came Kolo and it was really not too bad!"
