Liverpool boss Klopp pessimistic over injured pair

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp can't put a date on the returns of injured pair Alisson Becker and Naby Keita.

Alisson damaged his calf muscle when kicking the ball in the Premier League opener.

"He looks in good shape, in a good mood, but no date in my mind," Klopp said of Alisson.

"We will give him the time he needs. He is not on crutches any more.

"I think from now on it will go quick."

Keita is also expected to remain sidelined for a few more weeks as he goes in search of full fitness. The Guinea international has aggravated an adductor problem suffered at the end of last season after he also faced a further set-back at the African Cup of Nations.

Klopp added on the midfielder: “No news - he's doing well but not close enough for this weekend."
