Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp never had doubts about selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last season.

The Times says Klopp knew Liverpool would thrive without Coutinho.

Liverpool sold Coutinho to Barcelona in January 2018, with the Brazilian impressing in spells at the Nou Camp.

And Klopp was willing to sell Coutinho because he always believed his side would cope without him.

They reached the Champions League final without Coutinho with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all flourishing.
