Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is convinced Takumi Minamino is ready to show his quality for the Premier League restart.
The Reds resume their quest for a 19th top-flight crown in Sunday's Goodison Park derby, and Minamino will hope Klopp puts his faith in him against Everton.
The Japanese international did his chances no harm in last week's warm-up against Blackburn, scoring one and setting another up in the 6-0 win.
"New players coming in, the first two/three months we don't really judge, but I know the public does," said Klopp.
"With Taki 100 per cent he looks really different in this moment from when he was trying to please everyone in a language he is not comfortable.
"He is much more settled now."
