Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is already thinking about Barcelona ace Leo Messi after reaching the Champions League semifinals.

The Reds won 4-1 at Porto to reach the semis 6-1 on aggregate - and a date with Barcelona and Messi.

When asked what his plans are for Messi after the game, Klopp said in his press conference: “Thank God I don't have to think about that tonight. I have a few nights.

"No one has so far managed it, but we will try. We have a few jobs before that."

The German added that the experience of last season's run to the final has helped them this time around.

"We played better this season," he told BT Sport.

"It was always going to be a whirlwind here and that was what it was. Second half the energy level dropped for Porto and we could control the game and score the goals."
