Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has assured James Milner he's a required player.

The Telegraph says Leicester City are interested in the veteran Milner.

Liverpool are preparing to fend off all offers for Milner in the upcoming January transfer window.

Milner has been a bit-part figure at Anfield this term, making only his third start of the season in the 7-0 win over Maribor in midweek.

However, this is not a sign he can leave the club and Klopp has assured him he still has a vital role to play.
