Liverpool boss Klopp: I wouldn't last if we had more seasons like this one

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave a damning assessment of his team's display against Chelsea.

The Reds coach had been bitterly disappointed with their 4-1 loss to Manchester City at the weekend.

Expecting a reaction from his team, Klopp had to settle for a lifeless 0-0 draw that was only poor finishing away from being a Chelsea win.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the match, Klopp was asked if he'd ever had a season like this one, and he stated: “No, thank God. I wouldn't be manager of Liverpool if I had a couple of these seasons.

“We have to get through it. That's how life is. You have to fight to change your fortunes.

“Both teams played last year in two finals, two of the best 0-0s I ever saw. Today it was two teams low on confidence but really fighting. We're fine with a point, a lot of good stuff. We showed a lot of fight. We have to keep going," he added.
