Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits he told Philippe Coutinho to join Bayern Munich.

The Barcelona midfielder is currently on-loan in Germany.

And Klopp told BILD: "He's a world class player, a very good transfer for Bayern and the Bundesliga.

"I thought it was a good choice for both parties when I heard about it for the first time. It may sound strange, but we did not have enough money to buy him. We had already spent all the money we had for him.

"I already told him in person that Bayern would suit him."
