Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hinted new contract talks with Gini Wijnaldum remain at stalemate.

With the Holland midfielder's deal to expire in June, Liverpool are battling to secure him to a new contract.

Klopp told Sky Sports: "There is really nothing to say.

"I think I said it all about the fact that I love the person and the player. It's not good or bad news, it's just like that.

"If there is a decision, you will know it."
