Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has cooled talk of moving for PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

Liverpool are one of several clubs reported to have an interest in Mbappe, who appears keen on a move from PSG to Real Madrid .

But Klopp says the calibre of French player Liverpool would require simply costs too much money.

When asked why there was no France stars in his team, Klopp told Canal+: "There is no reason for it.

"Kylian plays for PSG. Griezmann wanted to go to Barcelona obviously - we know how good that team is.

"We would like to have a French player, but some of them are too expensive for us."
