Liverpool boss Klopp: Henderson wasn't dropped

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists he didn't drop captain Jordan Henderson for today's clash at Tottenham.

The Reds captain was on international duty with England during the international break and played a part in both the Nations League defeat by Spain and the 1-0 friendly victory over Switzerland at the King Power Stadium.

"With Hendo, we need him so much and I don't think it makes sense in the moment to play him," Klopp told Sky Sports before the lunchtime kick off.

"That's the thing, we're still a bit adapting to the intensity, Hendo needs his full physical strength.

"I'm sure he'll have that today when he comes on and on Tuesday as well."
