Liverpool boss Klopp has message for Ozil, Gundogan critics: SHUT UP!

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has defended underfire German duo Mesut Ozil and Ilkay Gundogan.

There's been calls for both Arsenal midfielder Ozil and Manchester City's Gundogan to be banned from the Germany team after they were photographed with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoga before the World Cup.

But Klopp told BILD: "The intelligent people in this country demand tolerance, and the others must shut up and do not question the boys.

"Older, more experienced players should have helped the two in the situation.

"We must not forget that they have Turkish roots, even though they grew up in Germany, but it is always the same song: the one who cries the loudest is the one who is heard, and that has never been my thing."
