Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp views Marko Grujic's loan to Hertha BSC as crucial to the Serbian's development.

The 23-year-old midfielder sealed a return to the Bundesliga club last week after excelling on loan last season.

It was thought Grujic might have been brought back to Anfield to compete over preseason.

However, the Liverpool Echo says Klopp wants Grujic to prove himself once again in Germany next season.

Klopp has a firm belief that Grujic has the ability to play for his team in the future.
