Liverpool boss Klopp grateful to NHS staff

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp felt unwell on Wednesday and has thanked NHS staff for their friendly treatment after he admitted himself to hospital and underwent tests.

Klopp was allowed home that night and was well enough to oversee training at Melwood on Thursday.

"I feel really good. Okay, I'm 50 now - maybe I need to get used to it," joked the German.

"That's the second time I've been in a British hospital. Whatever people say about it, the NHS, it's not as bad as you think!

"I have to thank a lot of people, not because it was that serious, but because they were so nice. There's no more to say about that - I'm not ill."
