Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has explained the decision to sell Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth.
Klopp sold striker Solanke to Bournemouth for £19m, with Nathaniel Clyne also joining on loan.
The German boss explained he didn't want to stand in either players' way as they look for first team football - adding that Clyne actually asked to leave.
Solanke has been ruled out until February with injuries - which put paid to a loan move to Crystal Palace.
This led to a permanent deal with Bournemouth - although Klopp admitted he had let the striker leave.
“For Dom (Solanke) it was absolutely right for him to go," Klopp said.
“He was unlucky that when there was space for him, he had injuries."
