Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp left Takumi Minamino out of his squad for victory at Norwich City due to tactical reasons.
The £7m signing from RB Salzburg has still only made four appearances for the Reds since joining, and has yet to score or create an assist.'
Journalist James Pearce tweeted ahead of the game to say: "Takumi Minamino isn't injured, just left out of the matchday 18 today. Just shows the depth of talent at Klopp's disposal now the injury situation has cleared up."
That depth of talent was evident during the match as the returning Sadio Mane came off the bench in the 60th minute and proved to be the game-winner, with his 78th minute strike making the difference against a stubborn Norwich side.
