Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Roberto Firmino is close to full fitness.

The Brazilian has been absent since the FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City last month.

He has been out with a foot injury, but may be back in the squad for the FA Cup final against Chelsea at the weekend.

Liverpool have the small matter of a Premier League game against Aston Villa on Tuesday, which could determine whether they remain in the title race against Manchester City.

"Bobby Firmino has trained, so it is a decision for tomorrow [Villa game]," the Liverpool boss said to reporters.

"He is getting closer and closer and closer, and hopefully, he can be involved."
