Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken of being awestruck when first meeting Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson will be given the VIP treatment by the Reds boss when he arrives at Anfield on Sunday, because of a friendship that was extended when Klopp supported the former United boss's charity.
“When I met him first it was, 'Alex Ferguson' with another word in the middle. It was unbelievable!" the Anfield coach revealed.
“I was a very young manager at Dortmund who had never met him before and from the first second we had a super conversation.
“I needed 20 minutes to get used to his Scottish accent, but then I was in. We had a super conversation and from that moment on we were in contact."
