Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says young trio David Amoo, Daniel Pacheco and Nathan Eccleston are edging closer to first team recognition.
While the manager is working hard with his scouting department to try and find new recruits, the boss admitted he could give John McMahon's reserve team regulars an opportunity.
Benitez told liverpoolfc.tv: "Amoo, Pacheco and Eccleston have been training with us this week. We know they have quality but when things are not going very well you have to be careful with the young players, so we have to support them and we will see.
"We have some good young players but we have to be careful with them and don't want to push them too early, but they have quality and maybe they can do a job for us."
Former Millwall youngster Amoo was given squad number 46 this season and the powerful winger has been in outstanding form for McMahon's table-topping side.
"Amoo has been doing really well and he has pace," added Benitez. "Eccleston and Pacheco also have quality."
