Liverpool boss Benitez: I cannot talk about my future long-term

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has refused to commit himself to Anfield beyond the end of this season. With Italian football abuzz over reports he has agreed to join Juventus, Benitez was non-committal yesterday over his job future.

Benitez said: "At the moment I can't talk about the future long-term. I know the future clearly and it is Chelsea on Sunday."

Juve insist they have an £80million summer budget - four times the amount Benitez could get at Anfield - and claim he has even drawn up a list of backroom staff for Juve.

Benitez, one year into a five-year Anfield contract, also said: "I decided to stay because of the fans.

"For one year I have been working very hard and we will see what happens in the future."
