Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was delighted to hand Dani Pacheco his Premiership debut in their victory over Wolves.

The 18-year-old Spaniard made his domestic bow for the Reds with a late cameo in the Boxing Day triumph against Wolves, and the boss was encouraged by his display.

"Dani is a player with quality who has played really well for the reserves," Benitez told liverpoolfc.tv.

"He was going forward and is not scared to go against the defenders. It was a real positive because he has shown he has quality."
