Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is eager to secure fullback Fabio Aurelio to a new deal.

The News of the World says Aurelio is out of contract next summer and will be available to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs from January 1.

The Brazilian, 30, is injury prone but there is no doubting his quality and boss Benitez wants to hand him a two-year deal.

He'll have no shortage of suitors if Liverpool don't move quickly.
