Liverpool boost as Luis Diaz set for full-scale training returning

Luis Diaz is set to return to full-scale training at Liverpool.

The Daily Mail says the Colombia international is back after hurting knee ligaments in a 3-2 defeat at Arsenal last October.

There had been hopes he'd be back in three months but, during the World Cup training camp in Dubai, he suffered a reoccurrence and was ruled out for a further 14 weeks.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted they've missed Diaz, but has also been keen not to rush his recovery after the December setback.

However, Diaz cleared a significant hurdle last week when he joined in sessions with the Academy players and, given there have been no adverse reactions, he will be able to step up and join the first team squad at Kirkby.
